Clipper & Supercat is associated with Saxon Reef, where divers can follow reef walls and smaller offshore bommies. The site has a lively reef-wall feel, with anemonefish, coral growth, and fish movement around the mooring area.
What to see
Anemonefish, titan triggerfish, reef fish, soft corals, and occasional bottlenose dolphins in cooler months have been noted for the area. Bommies may also hold nudibranchs, crabs, and small reef species.
When To Go Diving
June to November is generally the clearer period around Cairns reefs, with water around 24–27°C. Summer is warmer, close to 29°C, but can bring more rain and variable visibility.
