All about Pellowe reef dive site
Pellowe Reef is best treated as a Great Barrier Reef coral site with bommies, reef flats, and gentle slopes. It lends itself to colourful reef touring, with the focus on fish life and coral texture rather than wreckage.
What to see
Expect coral gardens, parrotfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, wrasse, turtles, rays, and possible whitetip reef sharks. Small creatures may include nudibranchs, cleaner shrimps, and crabs.
When To Go Diving
June to November is usually the best general window for visibility. Water temperatures are typically around 24°C in winter, 27°C in spring, and 29°C in summer.
