Caves refers to a reef area with overhangs, cuts or swim-through-style formations. It offers a more textured and shadowed Maldivian dive, especially for divers who enjoy looking under ledges.
What to see
Overhangs, soft corals, soldierfish, squirrelfish, moray eels, lionfish, turtles, reef fish, nudibranchs and small crustaceans may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from December to May for visibility, though sheltered sites can be diveable year-round. Water is usually around 27–30°C.
