All about The Rock dive site
The Rock sits off Wolf like a dark prow in open water, where vertical stone and moving current meet in a sharp, Pacific-blue edge. The dive often feels less like “touring a reef” and more like holding a front-row seat while pelagic life slides past the stage
What to see
Scalloped hammerhead sharks, galápagos sharks, and silky sharks are the names that keep coming up, often accompanied by fast-moving schools in the blue. Sea lions may appear at the surface and sometimes drop in as curious, quick silhouettes
When To Go Diving
June to November is generally treated as the most wildlife-charged season in the far north, with cooler water commonly around 16–24°C and stronger current and surge. December to May typically brings warmer conditions. Visibility can be generous on good days but is never a promise here; it’s shaped by swell, plankton, and how hard the water is pushing around the island
