Shark Fin Rock is a Cocos Island site named for its sharp, fin-like rock profile. It has the remote, volcanic look that defines Cocos diving, with deep blue water, rocky structure, and the possibility of large passing animals.

What to see

Hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, silky sharks, rays, jacks, tuna, and reef fish may be seen. The rock formation and surrounding blue water create the main visual drama.

When To Go Diving

June to November is often favoured for stronger pelagic activity, while December to May may have better clarity and calmer seas. Water can vary from warm surface temperatures to much cooler deeper layers.
