All about Shangrila Sanctuary dive site
Shangrila Sanctuary, around Mactan, is a protected reef area with accessible coral gardens and resort-based diving. It has a calm, polished character, with reef life close to shore and generally easy conditions.
What to see
Hard corals, reef fish, anemonefish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, turtles, blue-spotted rays, nudibranchs, and small crustaceans may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Central Visayas sites are often best from November to May, with calm seas and good visibility. Water is usually around 27–30°C.
