All about Serrana Bank dive site
Serrana Bank is one of Colombia’s remote northern Caribbean banks within the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve, far from the busier island dive circuits. Its appeal lies in isolation, broad reef platforms, shallow coral habitats, and the sense of diving a lightly visited offshore system rather than a resort-style reef.
What to see
Expect hard corals, octocorals, sea fans, sponges, reef fish, parrotfish, surgeonfish, snappers, groupers, barracuda, turtles, rays, and possible reef sharks. The remote setting may also support healthy schooling fish activity.
When To Go Diving
Diving conditions are generally strongest from December to May, when Caribbean weather is often drier and seas are more settled. Water is usually around 26–29°C, with visibility often around 24–30+ metres in clear offshore conditions.
