All about Nirvana dive site
Nirvana is one of San Andrés’ recognised reef dives, generally suitable for open-water certified divers and known for clear water and accessible reef scenery. It has a relaxed but colourful character, with enough structure for fish, sponges, and coral growth to build a full dive.
What to see
Expect reef fish, parrotfish, angelfish, grunts, snappers, sponges, sea fans, hard corals, turtles, rays, and barracuda. The site is well suited to slower reef observation and photography.
When To Go Diving
The site can be dived year-round, with December to May usually the most comfortable period for weather and visibility. Water is typically around 26–29°C, and visibility often reaches around 24–30+ metres.
