All about Pelican Cay dive site

Pelican Cay is part of Belize’s southern reefscape, where small cayes and patch reefs create a more intimate dive environment. Rather than a dramatic wall, the appeal is in the mix of coral gardens, sponge growth, and fish life moving between reef and seagrass habitats.

What to see

Sea fans, sponges, hard corals, parrotfish, butterflyfish, angelfish, grunts, snappers, rays, and juvenile reef fish may be seen. Mangrove-adjacent habitats can also support interesting small life.

When To Go Diving

December to May is generally the best overall period, while June to November brings warmer water and more variable weather. Water is usually around 26–29°C, with visibility depending on wind, rain, and distance from shore.
