Black Beauty is a Turneffe Atoll site often associated with Belize’s elegant wall and reef diving. It offers a darker, more dramatic mood than shallow coral gardens, with sloping reef, ledges, and blue-water edges.
What to see
Reef fish, sponges, sea fans, black coral, eagle rays, turtles, reef sharks, groupers, and snapper may be seen. Turneffe sites may also reveal macro life in crevices and coral rubble.
When To Go Diving
March to June is often strong for atoll and liveaboard diving, while December to May gives the drier season. Water temperatures usually sit around 26–29°C, with visibility often 20–40 metres offshore.
