All about Olhugiri Kandu dive site
Olhugiri Kandu is a channel dive, where the reef opens toward deeper water and current can bring larger marine life. It has a stronger, more advanced Maldivian profile than sheltered lagoon sites.
What to see
Grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, jacks, tuna, barracuda, fusiliers, turtles and soft coral along the channel edges may be seen.
When To Go Diving
December to May often brings the best channel visibility, especially on incoming current. Water is usually around 27–30°C, with visibility commonly 15–30 metres.
