All about Mexico Rocks dive site

Mexico Rocks, north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, is a shallow patch reef and marine reserve with calm, clear water and accessible coral formations. It is especially well suited to relaxed diving and snorkelling, with a softer profile than Belize’s outer walls.

What to see

Patch corals, sea fans, parrotfish, angelfish, wrasse, grunts, snappers, rays, nurse sharks, and juvenile reef fish may be seen. The reserve is also known for approachable snorkelling conditions.

When To Go Diving

It can be visited year-round, with December to May generally the clearest and calmest period. Water usually ranges from 26–29°C, and the shallow reef is warm and bright in good weather.
