All about Elk Horn Forest dive site
Elk Horn Forest is a Lighthouse Reef site known for stands of elkhorn coral, giving the reef a distinctive shallow-water architecture. It offers a brighter, more textural contrast to Belize’s deeper walls and blue holes.
What to see
Elkhorn coral, reef fish, parrotfish, damselfish, wrasse, snappers, grunts, sea fans, sponges, and small crustaceans may be seen. Turtles may pass over the reef top.
When To Go Diving
December to May usually offers the calmest conditions, while March to June is a strong atoll-diving period. Water is generally around 26–29°C, with good visibility in settled weather.
