Marsa Egla, near Marsa Alam, is a popular sheltered shore-diving bay with coral on both sides and sandy seagrass in the centre. It is gentle, accessible, and rich in everyday Red Sea life.

What to see

Turtles, blue-spotted rays, reef fish, moray eels, lionfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, and seagrass life may be seen. Dugongs are possible in the wider area but not guaranteed.

When To Go Diving

March–May and September–November are ideal, while summer is warmest. Water ranges from about 22–30°C.
