Scuba diving in Abu Hashish Lagoon


Abu Hashish Lagoon is a dive site in Hurghada surrounded by a reef shelf. Divers can examine the reef and a large area of sea grass.
When to go
Hurghada has a subtropical climate, with hot summers and warm winters. The average temperature is 30-33C/89-91F in summer and 17-19C/62-66F in winter. The hottest month is July, and the wettest month is September. The best month to dive is August, when the water temperature is 28C/83F.
What to see
At Abu Hashish Lagoon, divers have a chance to spot seahorses, crabs, nudibranchs, octopi, pufferfish, Spanish dancers, leopard grouper, jackfish, and barracudas.
