Manuelita Channel is part of Cocos Island’s famous Manuelita area, where current, rocky structure, and protected edges create rich shark and ray potential. It is an advanced dive environment, with the possibility of fast-changing conditions.
What to see
Hammerhead sharks, whitetip reef sharks, rays, jacks, tuna, turtles, and schooling fish may be seen. Current through the channel can concentrate marine life.
When To Go Diving
June to November is often favoured for pelagic action, while December to May may offer clearer water and calmer seas. Water can range from about 20–29°C because of thermoclines.
