Isla Chore is a small-island coastal dive area near Sámara, with volcanic rock and reef structure close to shore. The setting is more local and low-key than Cocos or Caño, but it can be rewarding for divers who enjoy natural Pacific fish life.
What to see
Divers may see reef fish, rays, moray eels, turtles, pufferfish, snappers, grunts, and schooling fish. Rocky cracks may hold lobsters, crabs, and small camouflaged species.
When To Go Diving
December to May is generally the best time for calmer seas and clearer water. Temperatures are usually around 26–29°C, with visibility variable after rain or swell.
