Gili Sarang is a dive site at Sekotong in Indonesia with a fascinating underwater landscape. The highlights of this site are numerous boulders and pinnacles with various types of corals that lie along a sandy bottom.

When to go

Although it is possible to dive at Gili Sarang throughout the year, the best months for diving are from April to November. The average water temperature is 27-30C/81-86F, and the air temperature ranges from 26-28C/79-82F. The season for devil rays is usually in September.

What to see

Gili Sarang is full of larger fish such as whitetip and blacktip sharks, giant trevallies, gray reef sharks, sweetlips, and mackerel. The macro life includes nudibranchs, orangutan crabs, harlequin shrimp, and flatworms.
