Gamat Bay, near Nusa Penida, is a beautiful but sometimes current-affected bay with coral, sand, and a drop-off outside. It has both sheltered beauty and a more adventurous outer edge.
What to see
Coral gardens, turtles, reef fish, nudibranchs, rays, jacks, and occasional mola mola in the wider Nusa Penida region may be seen.
When To Go Diving
April to November is usually best, with cooler water possible during upwelling months. Visibility can be excellent, but currents can be complex.
