All about Elbow dive site
The Elbow, at Turneffe Atoll, is one of Belize’s most dynamic current-influenced sites, known for schooling fish and a more advanced wall-diving feel. Its corner-like reef shape can concentrate marine life, creating a high-energy dive when conditions align.
What to see
Schooling jacks, snappers, barracuda, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, sponges, sea fans, and wall fish may be seen. The site is especially appealing for divers who enjoy bigger movement and current-shaped dives.
When To Go Diving
Best dived in calm seas and suitable current, often during the drier months from December to May. Water is generally around 26–29°C, with offshore visibility often excellent.
