Makadi Bay is a small town located on the Red Sea about 30km/49.7mi south of Hurghada where the closest airport is located. There are just a couple of dive centers here and the dive sites they offer are the same as the ones reachable from Hurghada or Safaga. But for those who prefer calm, quiet and relaxed surroundings to more bustling settings, Makadi Bay may be the perfect fit.
The best dive sites here are: Abu Hashish North, the coral gardens of Gota Abu Ramada, Ras Abu Soma, Salem Express, Panorama Reef, Abu Kafan, the wreck graveyard at Sha'ab Abu Nuhas, the reefs of Giftun Islands, El Mina, Dolphin Reef, and further north the famous Rosalie Moller Wreck.
