Diva Andaman Liveaboard, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma)
Diva Andaman offers to explore both most exciting diving destinations of Thailand and Burma Similand Islands and the Mergui Archipelago. The boat can offer not only diving but also yoga and free diving, underwater photography and citizen science programs. Diving courses are available on board including Open Water, so boat's guests don't need to be divers, they can get their first certification on board. Equipment rental is already included in the price.
Boat Interior
The boat can offer accommodation to 14 passengers. She has 7 comfortable staterooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms. All are well equipped and features a combination of modern and traditional style.
Besides comfortable cabins, Dive Andaman has a gorgeous outdoor lounge with an open galley perfect to enjoy the view.
Safety
The boat has all necessary safety equipment including GPS, radar, VHF radio, satellite phone, medical safety equipment, life rafts.
Diving
The ratio of dive guides to divers on board of Diva Andaman is 4:1, that guarantees you personal care. All diving courses will include a private instructor. Dives will be made from 40 HP dinghy tenders.
Itinerary features
The Similan islands are well known between divers. You will find here a variety of landscapes from deep canyons to sandy slopes. Turtles, manta rays, and even whale sharks are frequent to see.
Not so many liveaboards can offer diving on the Mergui Archipelago. Till 1997 this destination was closed for divers. Grey reef sharks, ribbon eels, frogfish, mobula rays, manta rays, slipper lobsters, ghost pipefish and a large number of nurse shark can be seen. One of the most famous dive sites of Mergui Black Rock offers a great opportunity to dive on the manta cleaning station.
When to Go
The time period from February to April offers the most stable conditions for Thailand diving. Visibility is usually great at this time of the year between 25-40m. Water temperature ranges from 26-29C (78-84F).
Best time to visit Burma is from October to May. Water temperature fluctuated between 26-30C (78-86F)
