Cabo Pulmo is a protected reef system in Baja California Sur, known for a remarkable recovery of fish biomass and dense schooling life. It is one of Mexico’s strongest examples of a marine reserve changing the underwater landscape.
What to see
Huge schools of jacks, groupers, snappers, reef fish, bull sharks where locally present, rays, turtles, moray eels, and healthy hard coral may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best conditions are often from August to November, when the Sea of Cortez is warmer and visibility improves. Water can range from about 20–29°C through the year.
