All about Broken Passage dive site
Broken Passage suggests a channelled reef site, with cuts, passages, and broken coral structure creating a varied route. It is likely most interesting when water movement brings fish into the channels.
What to see
Expect schooling fusiliers, trevally, reef sharks, coral trout, parrotfish, soft corals, and possible rays. Passage walls may also hold nudibranchs, crabs, and small reef fish.
When To Go Diving
Dive on favourable tide windows, with June to November generally bringing clearer conditions. Water temperatures on tropical Queensland reefs usually sit around 24–29°C.
