All about Bodega de Tchoco dive site

Bodega de Tchoco has the feel of a local reef site with rocky shelves and sheltered pockets, where small marine life can gather among cracks and overhangs. The name suggests a distinctive local mooring rather than a widely documented landmark, so the safest focus is on Cape Verde’s volcanic reef environment.

What to see

Look for moray eels, scorpionfish, pufferfish, wrasse, parrotfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, crabs, and sponges. Larger fish may cruise past the outer reef when current is present.

When To Go Diving

Best conditions are generally from April to November, when seas are warmer and visibility tends to improve. Water temperatures are often around 22–27°C, with visibility commonly 15–30 metres.
