Liveaboard cruises offering dives at the Ba Wei

All about Ba Wei dive site

Ba Wei is a limestone formation site around Macleod Island, with underwater passages that can be explored when currents and waves allow. It offers a varied profile, moving between open reef areas, rock formations, and sheltered cracks where small life gathers.

What to see

Divers may see reef fish, moray eels, stingrays, shrimps, nudibranchs, flatworms, soft corals, and limestone passage life. Nearby Ba Wei-area logs have also recorded Jenkins whiprays, blue-spotted rays, harlequin shrimp, ribbon eels, and rainbow runners.

When To Go Diving

December to April usually brings the best overall diving conditions, while October/November and May can also be possible depending on liveaboard schedules and weather. Water is generally 26–30°C, with visibility often between 10 and 30 metres.
