Aride Bank is an offshore Seychelles site with a more exposed, adventurous character than the sheltered Mahé and Praslin reefs. As an outer bank, it is likely to offer stronger fish movement, clearer blue water in good conditions, and a greater chance of larger passing species.
What to see
Schooling fish, jacks, barracuda, snappers, fusiliers, eagle rays, reef sharks, turtles, granite or reef-bank structure, soft corals, and hard corals may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best in the calm transition months from March–May and October–November, when remote sites are more accessible. Water is usually around 25–30°C, with visibility potentially excellent offshore but dependent on current and sea state.
