Zimbral is likely a Sesimbra or Arrábida-area rocky reef site, with Atlantic structure and fish life around ledges. It has a cooler-water, mainland Portuguese character, especially suited to divers who enjoy macro and rock formations.
What to see
Octopus, cuttlefish, conger eels, wrasse, bream, nudibranchs, sponges, anemones, scorpionfish, and small crustaceans may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from June to October, though Sesimbra can be dived year-round in suitable conditions. Water is generally 14–22°C, with visibility often 5–20 metres.
