Viking Rock is one of Cocos Island’s named sites, part of a remote liveaboard-only environment where rock formations rise into pelagic-rich water. It has an advanced, open-ocean character, shaped by current, depth, and blue-water encounters.
What to see
Hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, rays, tuna, jacks, turtles, and schooling fish may be seen. Strong current and thermoclines are part of the Cocos experience.
When To Go Diving
Cocos can be dived year-round, with June to November often favoured for big pelagic activity and December to May for calmer seas and better visibility. Water can range from about 20–29°C depending on depth and thermoclines.
