Umm Erug is known for coral pinnacles rising from sand, creating a striking natural garden of ergs. It is highly photogenic and often suitable for relaxed multi-level diving.
What to see
Coral towers, anthias, butterflyfish, glassfish, lionfish, moray eels, blue-spotted rays, crocodilefish, and small macro subjects may be seen.
When To Go Diving
March–May and September–November are ideal. Water is generally 22–28°C, with visibility often excellent.
