Tuheiava is Tikehau’s pass, where the lagoon connects with the ocean and fish movement can be strong. It has the classic Tuamotu pass profile, with current, reef edges, and blue-water life.
What to see
Grey reef sharks, blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, jacks, barracuda, snappers, reef fish, and sometimes manta rays may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to October, with tide planning essential. Water is generally 26–29°C.
