Thunderbolt Wreck, off Marathon, is a deep artificial reef with a strong wreck-diving profile. It has a clean, upright structure and is usually better suited to advanced divers because of depth and current.

What to see

Wreck structure, deck features, barracuda, jacks, amberjack, groupers, sponges, soft corals, turtles, and occasional reef sharks may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from May to October in calm conditions. Water is generally around 20–30°C, with deeper sections sometimes feeling cooler.
