All about Thunder Ball Reef dive site

Thunderball Reef is one of Nassau’s most cinematic shallow reefs, known for its James Bond film connection and bright coral scenery. With depths commonly around 1.5–7.5 metres, it works for both divers and snorkellers, especially when sunlight brings out the reef colour.

What to see

Staghorn coral, elkhorn coral, snappers, barracudas, sergeant majors, groupers, and other reef fish are typical highlights. The shallow profile also makes it good for natural light photography.

When To Go Diving

This shallow site is accessible year-round in calm weather, with November to May usually giving the most stable conditions. Water temperatures generally sit around 24–29°C, and visibility can be excellent on clear days.
