All about The Dog Islands dive site

The Dog Islands are among the BVI’s most varied dive areas, with boulders, coral gardens, swim-throughs, and shallow-to-moderate reef profiles. Their granite-like formations create a sculptural setting that feels different from flatter Caribbean reef dives.

What to see

Divers may see swim-throughs, coral heads, sea fans, sponges, reef fish, lobsters, shrimps, barracuda, turtles, rays, and schooling grunts. The area also includes wreck-style and reef sites around the islands.

When To Go Diving

December to May is usually best for clear water and calmer seas, though the area can be dived year-round. Water temperatures are typically around 26–29°C, with visibility often 18–30 metres.
