The Car Wrecks is a 70m/230ft artificially created reef dive site situated around Dauin in Philippines. It is made out of concrete tubes, steel boxes, a sandy slope and 2 sunken cars. Divers can even swim inside the cars. The current varies from light to moderate. In addition to two interesting car wrecks, this dive site has a lot of diverse sea life to offer.
When To Go Diving
It is possible to dive The Car Wrecks throughout the year, but the time between January and May tends to bring the most favorable conditions. The air temperature is usually around 29-31C/84-88F, while the water can be between 27-31C/81-88F.
What to see
Moray eels, lionfish, blue-spotted stingrays, frogfish and snappers are permanent residents of this spot. The smaller species include seahorses, various nudibranches, shrimps and anemones with clown fish.
