Sea Lion Colony is a Sea of Cortez-style site, likely around La Paz or nearby islands where playful sea lions are the main draw. It has a lively, behavioural character rather than a coral-garden feel.
What to see
California sea lions may be seen, along with sardines, reef fish, king angelfish, pufferfish, rays, moray eels, and rocky reef life.
When To Go Diving
Sea of Cortez diving is often strongest from August to November, with warm water and good visibility. Water may range from about 21–29°C depending on season and location.
