Santa Maria, near Los Cabos, is a sheltered bay with rocky reef and beginner-friendly conditions. It has a calm Sea of Cortez profile, with tropical fish around boulders and sand.

King angelfish, pufferfish, rays, moray eels, reef fish, grunts, snappers, turtles, and rocky reef life may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from August to November for warm water and visibility, though it can be dived year-round. Water may range from about 20–29°C.
