All about Salt Island dive site

Salt Island is closely linked with the BVI’s wreck-diving heritage, especially the famous RMS Rhone area nearby. The island combines historical atmosphere with reef and wreck scenery, giving divers a strong sense of place as well as marine life.

What to see

Wreckage, coral-covered metal, swim-through sections, reef fish, turtles, barracuda, lobsters, sponges, and sea fans may be seen. The area is also known for historic artefacts around the wreck environment.

When To Go Diving

December to May is usually the clearest and driest period, while diving remains possible year-round. Water is generally around 26–29°C, and visibility may reach 18–30 metres in settled conditions.
