All about Roncador Bank dive site

Roncador Bank is a remote coral bank in the Colombian Caribbean, with reef habitats shaped by clear water, exposure, and distance from the main islands. It has a more expedition-like character than San Andrés shore sites, with broad reef areas and open-water edges.

What to see

Divers may see dense octocoral growth, sea fans, sponges, hard corals, reef fish, snappers, jacks, barracuda, turtles, rays, and reef sharks. Historic wreck remains may exist in the wider bank area, though they should not be assumed for every dive.

When To Go Diving

The best general window is usually December to May, though access depends on sea state and expedition logistics. Water temperatures are typically around 26–29°C, with offshore visibility often reaching 24–30+ metres in settled weather.
