Rio Bermejo is located on the southern site of Mahahual coast. The site features a mangrove forest which creates a unique ecosystem. The site is more suitable for advanced divers.
What to see
The site has a a mangrove forest and reef where divers can spot sea turtles, crabs, lobsters, barracudas, stingrays, snappers and groupers.
When To Go Diving
Diving is possible year- round. Water temperature varies between 22-28C/71-82F. The hurricane season usually lasts from May to November with a possibility of intense cyclones.
