All about Pedra do Alto dive site
Pedra do Alto suggests a raised rock or reef high point, where fish gather around a prominent formation. It has a stronger structural profile than a flat seabed and can feel especially scenic in clear Atlantic water.
What to see
Rock formations, wrasse, bream, damselfish, octopus, conger eels, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, sponges, and schooling fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best in calm summer and early autumn conditions. Water may range from about 15–23°C, with visibility often 10–25 metres when swell is low.
