Old Airport, near Kailua-Kona, is an accessible Hawaiʻi Island reef area with lava structure, coral patches, and easy coastal conditions when the sea is calm. It has a practical but rewarding local-dive character.

When To Go Diving

Diveable year-round in calm conditions, with May to October often warmest and most settled. Water is generally around 24–28°C.
