All about Tunnels Reef dive site
Tunnels Reef, on Kauai’s north shore, is known for lava tubes, arches, and reef structure close to shore. It is scenic but highly dependent on seasonal swell.
What to see
Lava tubes, reef fish, turtles, moray eels, octopus, butterflyfish, tangs, coral patches, and small reef life may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best in summer, usually May to September, when north-shore seas are calmer. Water is generally around 24–27°C, with visibility often good when surf is low.
