When To Go Diving

The period from May to October is advisable for scuba diving in Emerald Reef dive site. This season is hot and wet with usual air temperatures of 30-32C/86-89F and water temperatures of 27-29C/80-84F. The air and water averages throughout the dry and warm season are of 16-18C/60-64F.

What to see

Diving in Emerald Reef opens a rich underwater world for everyone. Divers can examine various sea fans, sponges and gorgonians. The dive site is also famous for the pillar and elkhorn corals inhabiting the area. Divers may encounter lots of fish, including groupers, snappers, jaw fish, scorpion fish, barracuda, butterfly fish and parrotfish.
