All about Njao Gap dive site

Njao Gap is one of Pemba’s impressive gap and wall sites, with steep reef sides descending into much deeper water. It has the clear-water, high-relief feel that makes northern Pemba especially attractive for experienced divers.

What to see

Deep wall structure, sea fans, reef fish, fusiliers, barracuda, jacks, groupers, whitetip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, and occasional larger passing fish may be seen.

When To Go Diving

June to October and December to February are often the best general windows for Pemba diving. Water is usually around 25–29°C, with visibility commonly 15–30 metres and sometimes better in calm conditions.
