All about Fundo Gap dive site

Fundo Gap, off Pemba Island, is a dramatic channel and wall-diving area where the reef drops steeply into deep blue water. It has a more advanced, open-ocean character than shallow Zanzibar reefs, with current, depth, and strong vertical scenery shaping the dive.

What to see

Steep walls, hard corals, soft corals, sea fans, fusiliers, barracuda, Napoleon wrasse, groupers, whitetip reef sharks, reef fish, and larger pelagic species may be seen.

When To Go Diving

"Best conditions are often from June to October and December to February, when seas are generally calmer and visibility is stronger. Water is usually around 25–29°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres; current can be significant, so local timing matters."
