All about Morrinha Dos Pedras dive site
Morrinha Dos Pedras is a rocky reef site, and the name points directly to stone formations as the main feature. It suits divers who enjoy searching through lava-rock terrain, where crevices, low ledges, and sand pockets hold much of the life.
What to see
Moray eels, scorpionfish, wrasse, parrotfish, trumpetfish, pufferfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, and crabs may be seen. The rocky profile may also attract hunting jacks or barracuda.
When To Go Diving
The best period is usually April to November, when water is warmer and visibility is stronger. Water temperatures are generally around 22–27°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
