Moon Ledge is part of the Hervey Bay local dive scene, where ledges and reefy structure create habitat close to shore. The site is more about compact underwater features than vast reef walls, making it suitable for a slower, observant dive.
What to see
Expect ledge-loving fish, small reef species, nudibranchs, octopus, rays, and occasional turtles. The structure may also attract schooling baitfish and larger predators passing through.
When To Go Diving
Best conditions usually come on calm days outside strong wind and swell. May to November can offer better visibility, while summer brings warmer water and more variable weather.
