The fleet targets top dive destinations such as the Socorro Islands and the Midriff Islands, offering itineraries from roughly April through October.
The fleet places emphasis on both classic pelagic encounters, such as schooling hammerhead sharks, manta rays, and whale sharks in Socorro, and diverse marine life in the Sea of Cortez, from sea lions to mobula rays and rare macro species.
Mexico Liveaboards also supports custom charters and citizen science expeditions, enabling work alongside researchers in areas including shark tagging and manta monitoring.
The crew is long-standing, with key staff in place since the fleet’s early seasons, contributing to consistent service and operational smoothness.

This vessel often hosts research, photography, and citizen-science trips, offering divers the chance to join scientific projects in the Sea of Cortez and Socorro Islands

Unforgettable diving with sea lions!
The Sea of Cortez diving with sea lions was the highlight of the cruise, together with the surprise encounter with schooling hammerheads. But the boat’s cabins are small with little storage areas. The salon also needs to be refurbished. The chef cooked us some great meals!

Great Experience on Rocio Del Mar
Our trip was Nov. 4 - Nov 11 to the Socorro Islands. We had a delay due to a tropical storm heading towards Socorro. The crew did everything they could to make this time productive by taking us to local dive sites in Cabo San Lucas. We did finally make it to Socorro with being able to make 13 dives. Besides the incredible diving at Socorro, the entire staff was friendly, helpful and hard working. They worked well as a team and couldn't do more for the guests. The food was abundant and excellent. The cabins were well thought out for storage and personal needs. The dive masters were excellent. Knew the dive sites like the back of their hands, took all safety precautions and were available to help at any time. All in all, I would strongly recommend this trip and the Rocio Del Mar.
