Lhaviyani Atoll

Located in Kuredu, the Kuredu Express is one of the most famous dive sites in the Lhaviyani Atoll. Diving here is recommended for advanced divers. The Kuredu Express gets its name from the strong currents that can flow here. The site consists of a sandy channel that leads to the corner of the reef, where there are terraces at different depths. There are two large overhangs on the outer reef, which is teeming with fish. gray reef sharks, eagle rays, large tuna, Napoleon wrasses, stingrays, and barracudas, along with huge schools of jacks.

When To Go Diving

Diving in Maldives is possible all year round, but the recommended time is December to May, when the seas are at their calmest. The average air temperature is around 30C/86F. Water temperatures average around 26-29C/78-84F. The depth of the site is 30m/98ft. Visibility is around 15-30m/49-98ft. Currents are strong.

Reef, which is teeming with fish. gray reef sharks, eagle rays, large tuna, Napoleon wrasses, stingrays, and barracudas, along with huge schools of jacks.

Exhilaratingly fast!
October 2012 This was the final dive of our honeymoon and it doesn't disappoint. We had the pleasure of a privately escorted tour by Darren from Prodivers. We ventured out into the channel very early in the morning, just me, my wife and our guide. As we headed for our starting point we were greeted by a large pod of around 40-50 dolphins making their way into the islands.
